GASL wrapped up its second Fall Season. We are so proud of all the kids and their growth. They worked hard and had fun this season. Every player is different and grow at different speeds so we understand that every kid's season goals are different. Some need ot focus more on the social aspect, maybe trying to stay on the field without crying and some are working on controlling the ball with both feet. Either way, we saw lots of smiles and lots of successes.

Coaches work hard to focus on their players and build confidence through little successes. We focus on the five phases of the development of players - social, technical, physical, psychological and tactical. Our coaches took the time preseason to attend the Coaches Clinic which offered directives from the Sporting Staff to build their coaching skills and boy did they deliver. What a great group of coaches. Watching the kids at the start of the season to end of season, they have all grown. It is a great thing to watch kids develop at a sport that they love to play and to have the support of great coaches and caring parents. 

The season always wraps up at Incrediplex where the kids get an a match on the turf field, followed by the awards ceremony with their age group and finally heading to the games and inflatables to cap the day. It is always a fun and rewarding day.  This Sunday was no different. The kids had fun playing indoors on the fast turf and playing with a fast rolling ball. Small shots soared across the playing surface putting smiles on the younger players. The older players were able to showcase the controlling footskills they worked on all season by keeping the ball close and focus on the weight of a pass. There were tons of goals and some great defensive plays. The 10U's had a championship for the girls side and boys side which was exciting to crown a league champ. We were happy to say the 12's and 14's played out  in fun fashion. We are proud that the 14U's ending the Rec+ League play undefeated. Good work teams! 

During the awards ceremonies they kids were able to have a team chant, watch the Fall video, high five Coach Fuzzy and get their trophy. The kids sang and clapped to the songs of the video which was fun to be a part. The Rec+ awards allowed the coaches to say something about their team and present their trophies. All in all, it was great successful season filled with amazing players, caring coaches and supportive parents. We couldn't have asked for a better Fall (except less rain and poorly timed Fall Breaks:D) and we are grateful.
